Teenage Mutant Ninja Jingles

Thank goodness of battery powered lights! I got this idea in my head from a Spider-Man one I saw while trolling through Pinterest. I also ordered the mask from the same lady on Etsy who made the Spider-Man one. See my post titles Imposter for the link!

Mr. Jingles does Minecraft

Minecraft? Need I say more? I can not wait for my child to see this one tomorrow!! This one was a little more difficult than I intended. Mostly because I had to put all those damn boxes together. Thankfully I thought to do those ahead of the time. The Santa head was the pain in my butt.

**I found the free printable here: http://www.alittlemooreblog.com/elf-on-the-shelf-mine-craft-santa-and-free-printable/

The problem was that when I printed it out it was way too small for my elf's head. Using my all in one printer I was able to increase the size so it would fit. Took a few tried but I finally got it! (In case you are wondering it was at 187%)

Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

Another Pinterest find! My son won't admit it to many, but he really likes Frozen! I am also that annoying mother who sings Do You Want To Build A Snowman all the time!

Here is a link to the original poster and the printable Olaf:

The Cub Scout

This is Alex's second year in Cub Scouts and he really enjoys it! While I was perusing Etsy looking for Elf ideas I came across these Elf/Doll tents and thought aha! Perfect! And I don't have to make it! (I did make the campfire which is super easy: cardboard, rocks, some twigs, dirt, glue, and a battery operated tea light!)

If you're lazy like me, you can get the tent here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/210129728/christmas-print-for-elf-doll-tent-and?ref=favs_view_7

Imposter!

Looks like Spiderman didn't take too kindly to Mr. Jingles pretending to be Spiderman!

Life's A Beach

This one was inspired by our recent vacation in which we all went on our first cruise! I was going to try and incorporate one of our family pictures from vacation as the background but decided it was too much. (P.S. Barbie Ken doll clothes fit the elves perfectly!) The hat I found at a craft store, as well as a bunch more to use later!

Mr. Jingles and Jack Redneck

Our elf Mr. Jingles is back for another year of mischief and mayhem! This year he brought back a pet reindeer. I was wandering the isles of Target and came across the Elf Pets and thought seriously?! They have pets now? And then promptly put it in my cart. We got a new Christmas tree this year so I put it up a couple days earlier than normal, not even thinking that Alex puts the tree going up with Mr. Jingles coming back. So every morning he was disappointed when Mr. Jingles didn't show up. He didn't care that it wasn't even Thanksgiving yet! Hence the "late" note! And so begins the 2014 season of Elf On A Shelf!

Alex was really excited to see the Reindeer and he hugged and loved on it... for about five minutes. We did manage to name him... Jack Redneck. And yes we are Southerners, but the Redneck is because Jack has red felt around his neck. Alex is very literal when he names things. I was worried that Jack would be forgotten and not end up being part of the tradition. And then I went and checked on Alex while he was asleep. No more worries! I will most likely add Jack in a couple of Mr. Jingles antics!

Here is what Alex's Magic Elf Seeds grew into this year!

**And I feel the need to add this as I don't ever check this blog until the end of November each year and each year I come back to comments for moderation.... The sole purpose of me sharing all of these is to help out other parent's who are stuck and need new ideas. I never claim to invent or make up any of these on my own. Some I do, but most I don't. All of my ideas come from things I find through Google, Pinterest, and friend suggestions. I don't care if you invented it, or made it up first. or have a copy right as I am not selling any of this, I am not profiting from any this, and most importantly, this is all for the enjoyment of a seven year old boy who is my world. That is all.
