Magic Elf Seeds Part 2

Two weeks ago Alex started bringing up Mr. Jingles and it went from a daily conversation to an every other hour thing. One night Alex said he really hoped Mr. Jingles would bring back some magic elf seeds. He closed his eyes and instead of praying, talked to Santa.

"Dear Santa, Can you please let Mr. Jingles bring some magic elf seeds again? I have been a really good boy and I would really like to plant some more seeds. This year can he bring some some seeds that will grow mints? Thank you very much. Love, Alex"

Mr. Jingles returns to our house when our Christmas tree goes up and yesterday was they day! I watched Alex get up this morning and creep towards the Christmas tree that still had the lights on from the night before. A dead give away! Alex began jumping up and down and ran into my room yelling HE'S BACK! HE'S BACK! MOMMY COME LOOK! So at 645am on a Saturday morning my husband and I both got up to go check out the elf in our tree. Alex was bouncing around with non stop chatter about Mr. Jingles and magic elf seeds. I made the comment that Mr. Jingles looked different and Alex said "Oh no! Don't tell me it's a different elf!" I told him to look more closely. It's then he noticed he was wearing a scarf and boots. (Yes they make clothes for the elf's now!) Alex said Mr. Jingles must have had a really cold trip from the North Pole!

Of course Mr. Jingles brought some Magic Elf Seeds with him! And of course after Alex read his letter from Santa we had to plant those seeds almost immediately!

After getting out our supplies I sat back and let Alex follow the directions and do everything himself.

And then this happened. Alex thought it was hilarious. Me not so much.

After cleaning up the sugar, he added some spice. Alex went through my spice rack and picked pumpkin pie spice because it was the only one that had spice written on it. When I wrote the poem I just assumed he would have picked out pepper! But he's smarter than me.

Then Alex planted the seeds good and deep to make sure they had room to grow!

He closed his eyes tight and said "I believe in magic" two times.

Blew three kisses.

And now he waits impatiently for tomorrow morning to see what will grow! As I type this he has already checked on his seeds at least 20 times! I hope he likes what the seeds grow! They aren't exactly what he asked for, but hey I think it will look cool! I'll post the picture tomorrow!
